David is the President of Hanaway Ross and succeeds his father, Charles T. Hanaway, the founder of the firm, as the presiding officer. David has been with the firm since his graduation from law school in 1968.

David limits his practice primarily to the areas of estate planning, probate and real estate transactions. He is recognized by his peers as one of the premier attorneys in the Green Bay area in these fields. David has achieved an "A" rating from Martindale-Hubbell, a nationwide lawyer rating service. He is a frequent speaker on estate planning and probate issues.

Active in the community, David presently serves on the Board of Directors of Notre Dame Academy Foundation, Inc. and Scholarships, Inc. He has previously served on the Board of Directors of the Greater Green Bay Community Foundation, Inc. and Friends of St. Vincent Hospital.
